Miller’s leadership is renewing Wisconsin

State Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller has for the past year been a steady hand in the political storm.

Now, as he prepares for recall elections that are likely to put him in charge of the Senate, Miller remains steady and wise.

The Monona Democrat is the antithesis of the current majority leader, Scott Fitzgerald, a Juneau Republican whose disregard for the rule of law and the basic premises of representative democracy has made him the target of one of four state Senate recall initiatives.

Miller statement on National Pay Equity Day

"National Pay Equity Day is especially disturbing this year for working Wisconsin women. Governor Walker signed a bill just last week sent to him by the Senate and Assembly Republicans to repeal Wisconsin’s Pay Equity Act from last session. Governor Walker tried to sign the bill quietly so no one would notice.

But how could working women in our state not notice? They notice it in every paycheck they get. Working women in Wisconsin make 75 cents for every dollar a man makes and this costs Wisconsin families $4,000 a year.
