Firefighters Endorse Mark Miller for State Senate
Campaign’s Local
Support Continues to Build as Election Nears
Monona – The Madison Firefighters added
their endorsement to the growing list of local community leaders and
organizations supporting Mark Miller for State Senate.
The Madison Firefighters endorsed Miller
because of his strong opposition to Republican attempts to cut
funding for critical community services like fire protection and his
hard work to ensure all Wisconsin residents have affordable health
care, education, good jobs and a clean environment. In accepting
their endorsement, Miller commented, “Firefighters know that it
takes real work to protect our communities and that I will provide
the leadership we need in the State Senate to continue to keep our
communities safe and healthy. I’m proud to have the endorsement of
the Madison firefighters, and I will continue to support their
valuable work.”
In addition to the support of local
firefighters, over 100 community leaders and elected officials from
Dane County and the 16th Senate District including Dane County
Executive Kathleen Falk, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, and Lodi
Mayor Paul Fisk have endorsed Miller.
Miller concluded, “I work hard to be
the kind of leader who offers not just words of support, but real
solutions to address the issues we face, and I’m gratified to earn
the support of local firefighters and community leaders based on
that record.”
